what would be needed to run an sti 6spd in my legacy outback wagon?

Rear diff and axles I think, Not sure what else.

Clutch kit
hydraulics
pedal components
transmission mounts
transmission
4EAT drive shaft
axles
Rear diff
Shift linkage
Shifter
Shift boot

If you ran DCCD, also would need these parts:
Either: STi engine, complete with STi ECU, DCCD TCU
Or: Aftermarket DCCD controller

And, I'm not sure about this:
Hubs, rotors, brakes, and wheels.

Remember, the STi uses a PULL type clutch, whereas a BD/BG/BK would use a PUSH type clutch.

also, the 6sp STi tranny is worth about as much as your entire car.

Yeah, just the gearbox is like $10k.
