Do you think I need an amp for those speakers or just for when I get the subs?

nah it has a 4x200w(max) amp built in 50 watts max for each channel and 18 watts RMS on each channel, they'll play nice together.
my panasonic HU has the same specs when it comes to built in amplifier and it runs my mixed speakers just fine ( pioneers in the front and sony xplods (free) in the rear ) really in combo with my pioneer amp and subs i can make the cartilage in my nose vibrate and my teeth tingle.

Those are nice. The reason why I was looking at the Alpine speakers is that I would get them for free by purchasing the HU from them. Maybe later on I will get the polks.

I wouldn't buy car audio supplies from Wally World simply because the products you find there are designed for walmart and only found there so the quality isn't the best. I currently have a Panasonic HU model CQ-C1301U. I want to get that DVD player so that I can watch movies while waiting on the bowfishing tournaments to start, play MP3s, and to hook up my laptop to it to play the music off of it.

i'd say most of the off brand stuff is like that but not the name brand stuff i've got some really good stuff from china mart in the past decade.

infinity FTW.. i dont like the new alpine HU line up.. the sound of the non-preamp has gone down in quality and they just confuses (yes i cant spell) me. as for there speakers they sound nice. but focus to much on the highs and not enough on the lows and mids... as for polk's they car audio is over priced i think..

Always liked Alpine, and always will. I'd recommend their head Units.

I am using Pioneer/Premier all around in my car besides the Amp which is Hifonics.

I am all for pioneer but Polk, Infinity, JBL, fusion & RF makes great stuff.

I'm also running their separates at all 4 corners. I prefer Boston Acoustic (I'm biased 'cause of the name  j/k) , Infinity Kapas, or Polk Audio. I'm sure others have there opinions on this, but these are what have worked for ME.

Expensive but worth it...usually. I prefer Alpine speakers and Kenwood Decks

If you got money for the speakers go with MB Quart components.
They are one of the best.
And the headunit you want I bought on ebay for $630 shipped
