I am trying to take apart the center consol in order to replace the shift gate for an automatic 05 legacy. I have the Haynes repair manual but it is not very straight forward. I have the 2 white fasteners located however it does not say how to remove them. I was able to figure out it is the basic arrowhead fastener however there is now way to access the head to clamp it with pliers to pull it out. Am i expected to break these and get new ones? I was also wondering if anyone had an easier way of getting this part removed. Thanks for the help.
