We were hit with the hardest rain we've had in a loooooong time today... right as I needed to get home. (wife is pregnant, so I'm not about to hang out at work and wait for the rain to stop.)

I figured there would be some water here and there, but most of my drive is uphill to get home...

Holy Lots of Freaking water batman! I tried to get some pics, but Night + Rain > Camera phone.

The water was at least above the door sills in places... But the Subie made it all the way without a hitch. Even with the smurfing idiots blowing by me at 45 through the deepest of the water (up over the front edge of the hood in a couple places.)

I gotta hand it to Subaru. I'm sure there's more than one car flooded and or stalled out in the streets tonight... but mine won't be one of them.

I went thru a foot and a half of water in my BG while in 1st gear at 4k-5k RPMs. Subies are tough. It doesn't surprise me that you made it thru. when I went thru the water it was coming from left to right and not straight on like you had it.

I went through 8 inches of water and stalled out. But it doesn't help that the tip of my filter sits 6 inches from the ground.

There wasn't even an inch at my house...

We definitely got an inch...+. I guess a bunch of basements flooded in town. I live out of town a ways on a hill, so we were good.

I just pulled the two pics I have off my camera phone, but they don't really show anything. I failed at cameraphonepicswhiledriving.

There was one parking lot on my way to work still completely flooded. They had some portable pumps setup to pull the water out.

and we're supposed to get the same weather today! Of course, if we do, I will get better pics this time.

I will never live at the bottom of a hill... or where a dried up creek bed used to be.

I tried mud bogging me BE, and had water come all the way up to the bottom of the windshield, and had no problems.
