I was wondering if anyone had any good tips/things to remember.

"Don't forget to do _____ "

"Since it's apart you should replace _____ "

"____ usually breaks, be sure to have replacement"

Things of that nature......

Any good advice would be smashing. Thanks

Soak down all the bolts for several days prior

Make sure to have plenty of time and a spare set of hands is never a bad idea.

Clean all the surfaces properly, change oily gloves often.

It's always good to have a spare car in case this one needs to be towed.

Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and a new flywheel or resurface it. I'm not sure about the 1st gen legacy but the 2nd gen had a plastic baffle plate thats in the back of the engine when you separate the tranny from the engine. Subaru has an aluminum one now, plus look into doing the rear main seal.

So Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, resurface flywheel (or new one), rear baffle plate updates and rear main seal.

And everything Huffer said you should be golden.
