Im about to go install my new rotors and pads. Ive heard of people 'seating' the new pads and rotors. How do I go about doing this? Normal driving or hard braking, soft braking, prolonged braking?

wow, these new rotors and pads work so well, the car doesnt even move!

Thats right, my rotors were warped (im not even sure they are anymore) because one of the sliders is seized. I sprayed some stuff in there and im letting it sit, but I think Ill be making a visit to the local junkyard.

Heres my new Rotora slotted rotor.

i seat them by going on a fast road with tight turns. That simulates the ideal 5 60-0 stops that i dont have the patience to do. I suspect if you grease the slider pins you will be all gud. But hey, might as well use the stylin' rotors, since you already bought them. Remember, good pads are the most important thing you can do. 3x better than swank rotors or a bbk. Might want to just take your rotors down and see if they're within spec.

I got the slider to move, but the boot is fuxored, so Im going to replace it anyway. Ill paint my calipers while im at it, bling!

Well, I seated the new brakes by going through a local subdivision. A few people looked at me weird when id stop in the middle of the street and take off again

LMAO... you COULD break them in the lame ass way, or you could follow manufacturers instructions and break them in properly... TRY to remember to use some anti-seize too will ya?

do it any lame way and they wont last NEAR as long...lol.. OR do what you want... most ppl do when you inform them they might have the wrong idea on this forum.

L M *F* A O!! ... gotta tell my buddies about this one...

c'mon Jesse, lets have some real info instead of scorn. Scott is not Tristan, he doesn't deserve to be treated as such.

I continue to wonder if you understand the reasoning behind the practice, jesse.
