i might be getting a 91 ss. i need so see if anyone has carfax first and for most. i dont want to spend 30bucks for one report. JF2BC67C3MG608063 is the vin. the guy told me 2g for it, but there are things wrong.
bad new.
half the windsheild is smashed, runs likes shit(tune up maybe), horrible wheels and tires on it, front right cv joint is bad, and a horrible thump/click from left rear, some 18yr honda punk.
good news.
body is straight, no mods done, 105,000 miles(this is low for a 91 ss right?)
it starts, interior is clean(from what i could see).

so if anyone could give me advice on these cars that would be awsome. also if anyone has a carfax account that could help out on this. i will be going to bbs and asking as well. thanks guys.

Sounds like a cool project, but I think $2000 is a bit much. Gotta remember that there's almost always going to be more problems then what they tell you too.

I'd try to see if the owner is a bit flexible on the price some more.

Low miles don't mean anything if the car was beat to hell.
If it were running great but had minor issues, maybe it would be worth the asking price.

if been talking to him. its a young kid that is having his uncle tell him the price. i told him i would do 1250 cash in hand for the car in the condition it is in. i think i know what is wrong with the car. right front cv joint, left rear wheel not tight, and bad tune parts.

it needs a good tuneup and little shit done. the windsheild is expensive as hell.

Our 2003 Outback has an expensive windshield, unless that SS has a heating element on the window, it wouldn't be half the price of getting our Outback's windshield replaced.

Offer him less, $2k seems a bit high for the problems it has.

$1250 is good.

I think you should look into getting a new windshield from a windshield repair shop. For a non-OEM replacement I've been quoted below $215 installed. Worse comes to worse you can come cut-out the windshield off our '91 parts SS for free.

Make sure the rear clicking problem isn't something serious though before you buy it. Call me if you get it.

toby you know i will. i think the rear click/thud is the lugnuts not being tight. the guy that has the car should not be allowed to have it. he wants to honda it out. the rims look like a monkey fling poo at the car and they made rims out of it.

oh yeah is that the ss you bought from under me?

Ya it is. The motor has been out for almost a month. My friend is using the tranny (auto to manual swap) in his SS and my other friend (both will be at the meet w. their Leg's) is using the shortblock and doing 2.5DOHC's on it.

I got the brakes off it. I just have to install them. Goodridge SS lines, WRX fronts, and vented turbo rears. I'll have it done before the meet. If you get that SS let me know what you need off this parts one. you can have it all most likely for free.

Maybe $1500? That's less than half what I paid for my SS.

Eh, I'd say $1500 if I was feeling EXTREMELY generous. Offer $1200, let yourself be talked up to $1500 (if he's that persistant), and if he doesn't go for it, leave it. There are other fish in the sea...

What kind of condition is it in? Sounds like a good deal, even with the miles.
