I'm having a hard time figuring out what exhaust to get. I've got a TWE manifold, and I'm getting HFC's soon. That leaves the muffler. I can't figure out what to get for a muffler. Obviously, I want it quiet, but something with some rumble would be nice. Suggestions? Considered the EVO 2, but they're damn spendy at $800. I'm thinking about just getting a Series 40 muffler and having it welded up right to the back of the second cat, then running straight pipes to the back.

The EVO 2 is far from quiet, you want quiet you need to look at an SPT or something similar.

I have a custom exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler and it sounds great. It's fairly quiet, but the Boxer rumble is very pronounced. I'm really impressed with it's quality.

I've got TWE EL headers, so I'll have less rumble than you would think. Hence, I'm going with a quieter muffler.

I'm going to have a custom exhaust made, TWE manifold going to a pair of cats, a series 40 muffler, then a bunch of exhaust pipe back to the back of the car with a shiney tip (to make it appear as if there is a muffler back there). If it is too loud for my taste, I'll have a glass pack added to quiet it down, or I'll stick a Borla manifold on and be done with it. :D
