Anyone know if the USDM's carpets will fit in a bd? I asked on Nasioc and apparently ever little kid wanted to tell me they swapped sti carpet into their bug-eye...really annoying...

It's not a perfect fit, but the majority of holes line up. Some bits don't, and can be trimmed or tucked under trim pieces.

but overall the carpet is large enough?

I thought someone here on the forums did it here before.. but maybe with a wrx carpet.

Haven't seen it done personally. But I have seen people take a USDM STi carpet and install it into a GC Impreza without too many hassles. The interior cabin of the BD Legacy isn't too much larger than the GC - maybe a couple of inches.

And someone else around here did it with a WRX carpet, which is effectively the same as the STI. Interior cabin dimensions are identical.

It's obviously not going to be perfect.

Deadlydave did this to his BD with the blue STi carpet. The back hump was exposed I believe. I mean if you are doing this for color of to have an STi carpet, you are better off going to a reupholster shop and having them put a new carpet in.

I'm doing it cause of color and it's only about $100 to do...compared to $400 if i took it to a shop

Chip_LRX_SLi installed this on his BK. It looks awesome. I've got some black WRX carpet laying around.. I can't wait to do it.

i have 2007 wrx carpet in my bk . a word of advice it is easier to not cut the carpet under the seat and add 3 inches of black fabric under the back seat . all you need is a screw driver and a sharp blade to adjust some holes . if i cared a little more i would do it that way .

What is the length of the carpet dude? I think they differ in size so swapping it may be a bit difficult.
