Catalytic Converter Warranty Question

I was wondering if anyone knew if the Cat is covered under the subbie 5 year 60k warranty? Also has anyone heard about the federally mandated warranty for cats and other emission related parts for 8 years 80k miles. Is there any truth to this?

I know hyundai vehicles here in Canada have 7yr/130k warranty for major emissions.

i would think they would.. but i cant say since i dont know how the warranty is broken down anymore. like say the emission might be only covered for 3 years. idk if subaru still does the extended warrantys for emissions anymore(15 year 150k for california spec cars sold in certain states) i couldnt say. you would have to go over you warranty agreement will subaru. or go talk to your local service manger at the dealership.

for the most i know about this. i think it only cover replacement cats. not factory installed cats
