I've never owned a turbo vehicle and the defi gauge they have here on island would match my gauges perfectly with white numbers and an orange stick.

How would I install a boost gauge? I know the defi comes with a controller unit thats like 250 or more by itself and the gauge is like 150 but it looks nice.

oh, is there also an A pillar gauge pod. :?:

for a a pillor pod, a impreza one will work with mods to it. as for a boost gauge it easy. vac line to the intake(before the throttle body) and back to the gauge. this will give you the pressure of how much bost into the engine. some ppl install in diff places. i have found that this is the best spot for true boost.

It depends on which kind of boost gauges you get. Most people get a mechanical one as its cheaper and easier to install, the vac line is directly connected back to the gauge itself. Electronic versions like the defi can either use a pressure sensor or tap an OEM pressure sensor used by the ECU. If you want something that matches your stock gauge cluster lighting, look into prosport or mad-dad they may have a matching color combo and costs much less than the defi.

The thing with the defi is that while a really good, high-end unit, you can't really justify getting it for only one gauge...its really only economically feasible when you get multiple gauges since you run it all off of the same master controller.

As for where to tap, mine is tee'd off from where the BPV is (it gest vac from the intake manifold as well), and goes to the steering column to a VDO mechanical unit.
