GT Wagon

In my quest for adding the rear intermittant wiper fuction into my '97 GT Wagon I was intending on swapping the wiper controls stalk from my '91 LS into the 97 GT. Using instructions for the Imprezza found here : ( http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/modi ... wiper.html (http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/modifications/interior/wiper/wiper.html) ) I was hoping to have this done in 10 mins or less..... NOPE ! While the cover comes off with 4 easy screws the wiper stalk is nowhere near as easy to remove.

Look at the photos and you'll see, unlike the Imprezza which uses two screws convieniently facing outwards to hold in the stalk , the Legacy has no less than 5 screws around the stalk which may be holding it in. Also, the wire harness (Green arrow) appears to come out of the stalk at the base and runs under the column. So at this point I'm not sure how much more work will be involved to remove the stalk. Any ideas and does anyone have the service manual for a '97 GT Wagon ?
