People should post up what games they own to see what we could get together and play sometime, I usually play GTA!V with Perdue and a friend, but a little SL-i gaming wouldn't hurt. I'm up for:

Sorry you've had bad experiences, i only just got the Red Ring of Death after having one of the first consoles since they came out and Microsoft was great about replacing it. I don't regret getting it one bit.

Rumor has it that the non hard drive one will be dropping down to $199 ( F U Wii :twisted: )

I appreciate the insight but before I got my legacy I was modding xbox's

I'v done everything from new x-clamps, AS5 thermal paste, 2x60mm exhaust fan, 1x80mm top mount and anything else I am forgetting.

the biggest problem with the xbox is theres no turbo timer :-p

If your playing for +4 hours and decide its a good time to just turn off your xbox. It just turns off leaving the cpu/gpu cooking under a block of metal.

And leaving external fans around the xbox really does nothing.

I lost 2 of my xbox due to bejeweled sessions...

I have the Arcade version of the Xbox... have done an 8hr marathon on Mass Effect... I have it sitting on the lowest level of my entertainment center and my receiver is above it, there's a good 4" of clearance to help heat evac.

Xbox Silver = anyone with a 360 and an internet connection. Can download items from marketplace, message people and receive gifts in-game, still activates gamerscore etc. CANNOT PLAY MULTIPLAYER ONLINE

Xbox Gold = all of the above + ONLINE MULTIPLAYER. You need a subscription card to do this - usually activates 2 days (free cards with new consoles) 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. 12 months is obviously the best value. All you do is plug your Xbox into your router/modem, connect to Xbox Live, enter in your subscription code and you're good to game online.

You can actually set it up on your xbox to automatically charge a card or whatever for your service. I was going monthly at like 7.99/month, but I ended up buying a year service for $50. Not bad all things considered. I get a lot fewer problems with connections and such on 360 Live than I did with PS2, but the service on PS2 was free.

I know that it's been asked before, but what's everyone's availability? I'm usually on in the evening between 9-11 or so on most evenings, with the exception of weekends.

I was thinking about having something going on with Forza or TDU going on once a week on Mondays or Wednesdays, if everyone is cool with that.

Gamestop, Microcenter, EBGames, ebay has them too.
If you're buying used, I would avoid any units that have a silver CD tray - these were commonly version 1-2 and were more prone to overheating and dying. I have a model from Christmas last year and have done several 8hour gaming sessions without any overheating issues.

If you are going to go used, why not just buy a refurbed item (Gamestop/EB Games/Microcenter have them for $180)...at least then you'll get a warranty

Yep, that's correct. You'll essentially have what I have then. I bought an Arcade pack w/out HDD, but it came with an HDMI hookup. Now I have a 20GB HDD. I still lack the HDTV though! :(

That'd be pretty cool, but I work every third day for 24hrs and I don't bring my 360 to work. I tried something similar on Forza 2 before...small group of people, everyone get the same car and modify it to a certain level (Spec B, C, A, whatever) and then do a series race with'em. It worked for a little while...made for some interesting races and setups.

Okay, I've thought about this in my head, and two days of the week qualify for Xbox LIVE play for me: Monday and Tuesday.

Tomorrow, same time, same B and A class restrictions. Hopefully I'll stick to them next time. :grin: Tomorrow will definitely be an SL-i.net members-only jaunt, so I'll be making sure I have all added on.

i dont understand people that reserve games. i when on the 8 to pick up GoW2 and they hade 300+ discs sitting on the shelf with tons of boxes that werent open with more copys.

i dont understand people that reserve games. i when on the 8 to pick up GoW2 and they hade 300+ discs sitting on the shelf with tons of boxes that werent open with more copys.
It may be different where you are, but around here if you don't reserve a copy of a highly anticipated game, you aren't going to get one. I only do it for a game that I really want just to make sure they put a copy aside for me. Plus it allows me to put money toward those games so most are paid for before they are even released. Just drive in, pick the game up and leave. Works good when you have the itch to play something different and find yourself staring at the wall-o-games and don't really see/need anything. So just put another $10 toward a game you pre-ordered and leave. :grin:

yeah i was hoping it was going to be good. Some of the guys that i go boarding with play that online and its so so on there doing competitions between us but the overall game was such a let down. They need to make an updated SSX game or better yet, bring back the Coolboarders and 1080 back

Haven't really been playing games at all, I never o in the summer. All I've played recently is Crysis on my new comp, which is ridiculous. I'm hoping to hook up with the old Call of Duty crew (Pdues, Shane, Josh, white nabisco, etc...) when Modern Warfare 2 comes out in Nov., which is about when I get back into it again.

yup its called import tuner challenge.. good luck finding it at a store.. they only madse like 10000 copies and only half went to the US i bought mine from ebay. there isnt as many cars.. but customizing goes a long way with new cars ie 2007 STi and new evo .. with only i think 29 cars to choose from. its still fun and new cockpit view. and amazing visuals..


my fav part is the crazy -10 camber option... CHEA....
