View Full Version : JDM Rear Bumper Lip

Does anybody know if a Rear Bumper Lip from a Japanese Legacy BD5 will fit on my 1998 L? I can't tell by looking at the two, and I don't want to make a mistake and buy something that won't fit.

Here's the lip I'm talking about:

Doesn't the rear bumper your L taper in a bit more at the bottom?

As far as I know, the JDM rear bumper is the same as US. The bumper lip in the picture you linked from J HOT looks identical to my GT rear bumper lip. The GT lip fit on my L bumper no problem.... I hope these pics help. I'd say go for it!

Yes it will fit, it's the same bumper just different under trims that have tabs and bolts.

That's what I came up with last night. The JDM lip has three extra tabs. I guess I'll just have to but them off. Thanks for the help everybody!

its the same as the USDM GT lip just smooth and painted

from the pic posted it has the same mounting tabs as my USDM GT lip.. idk..

I got my lip yesterday. Everything looked great. The was however one big problem. A majority of the tabs didn't line up with the mounting points on my bumper. The only tabs that did line up were the two on the side and the one above the muffler. I haven't figured out a solution yet, but it looks pretty good and It's not going anywhere, so I'm not too worried.

Thanks for all the help. I've been searching tirelessly for one of these things for months. BTW, Jhot Texas still has one or two left if anybody needs one.
