View Full Version : The Move

DLC

You may have noticed, since you're clearly reading this message, that SLi has moved to a new host. The domain name sl-i.net will follow in the near future, but for the time being, sli.legacycentral.org is where you'll be going.

I'm glad to help out the community. I started Legacy Central nearly ten years ago, and I'm very pleased to help out the Legacy community I'm more a part of, at times, than Legacy Central.

I am looking forward to fewer server issues, and an upgrade in the near future to the newest version of phpBB.

Hope you all get what you deserve!

Woot! Consolidation should be fun.

DLC

It's a consolidation in that both forums will be hosted together, but I don't think that either Reason, nor I, have any intention of merging the two forums, at least for the near future.

Ideally, we would have one forum, possibly with a measure of segregation, not unlike NASIOC, but that's not even really on the radar at this point.

Did we send out a notification to all members about the current URL change?
I didn't get anything and had to PM Reason on NASIOC...

It was suppose to redirect, but guess it;s not working.

Ok, sorry folks...late night and you know how things can go.

All redirects should point here from any point.

When I first saw the new URL I thought "Noooo, we've been usurped!" but I'm glad were keeping our original domain name while gaining an excellent technical asset!

Nice, I was feeling outdated w/ my sl-i.net sticker on my ride.

A merger would be pretty cool to bring the entire community together. Or at least most of us guys. I think most of the newer legacy owners stick over on Legacy GT don't they?

DLC

I don't have a dedicated server, but I do have a lot of space and resources, and SLi is now in a far better place.

Most of the 05+ owners do stick to themselves...

When the 05 owners have moved on to 2012 Legacies, then they'll come crawling to us because they won't be the elite anymore. :P
