Is it possible, and if so, how difficult is it to put cruise control on my '95 L?

*note* I already did a search, and after 3 pages and no such posts, I didn't wanna waste my whole day looking it up.

I imagine it'd be quite complicated - you'd need the cruise module on the firewall, the throttle cable, the cruise switch on the dash, and the cruise lever on the steering wheel (and maybe the steering wheel?) - plus making sure you have the wiring harness for it all as well.

subaru did make a cruise control kit for the none cruise control cars. but it is different designed that the factory installed cruise control. and i think it was $300-400

If anything I'm surprised that your L doesn't have cruise control from the factory. Guess I should be glad mine has it.

You should give a call over to Aaron's Auto Wrecking in Seattle. They're a Subaru-dedicated junkyard that also gives instructions on how to install parts you purchase from them. I gave them a call a few days ago to find out the price of a 2.5RS coupe in the form of just a rolling chassis and they were very helpful. Heck, the price even seemed reasonably low. I'd be willing to bet that they'll even trade you the parts you need to replace so you don't have to pay for it all and wind up with extra parts laying around that you don't "need".

That is absolutely music to my ears!! I wonder, what was their inventory for BDs like?

...this could be the beginning of something beautiful  Thanks for the info!
