I was getting agitated with having pink gauges and green buttons. so today at work. I actually did some work. with a hot pink sharpe, a swiss army knife. and 8 hours of time to kill. i managed to make my defroster, cruise control, and fog buttons to all match my pink gauges. heres a basic write up:

pop your main dash section out with the 4 screws.

pop each button out of the gauge cluster surround.

when u disassemble the buttons you will need a pocket knife or razor or thin flat head screw driver.

Looking at them sideways ull see there is a brown and a white half. and two lil tabs on top and bottom. if u put the screw driver between them. and push them apart they turn into a bunch of lil pieces

first thing i did was color the 2 tiny bulbs with the pink sharpe.

next take the flat head screw driver and poke from behind the main button towards the front of the button and the little symbol that lights up, will pop out.

on the back of the little light up thing there is a green gel covering the back. with either a knife or sand paper. scratch it off. and than color it with the sharpe

reassemble and BWAMO , all set. I wil do the heater conterol buttons when i get a chance.

day shot right after i did them:

PINK? Not even gonna comment on it.

You probably shouldn't because I believe it is red and the camera gives it the pink hue.

Nice DIY.

No, I'm good.

Why no comment on on Pink? Do you not like it because it not manly beef blood Budweiser Marlboro red?

Just curious.

I'm a redneck and not that big of a fan of pink. I have no objections to others liking pink but doesn't mean I won't pick on them.

you gotta take the individual guages out of the cluster and youll see what to color...theres 3 screws on the back for the gas, temp, and tach and 4-5 screws for the speedometer

Thanks for doing this. I just changed my buttons to blue from the factory green. I don't want to have to buy led's so i left the gauges alone.

The PO of my car was rocking "Cherry Blossom Red" as well... had to go in the other day and change some bulbs out...didnt bother with changing the color though. it doesnt necessarily look pink the way he did it, it might be able to pass as orange/light red
