antenna problem in GT wagon 2000

so you guys know how some of the legacy wagons have antenna on the window.... i dont get any radio stations with my new head unit... how can i fix it??? do i need new antenna or an antenna amplifier :?: :?: :?:

what head unit are you using? not to sound stupid but is the antenna pluged in to the head unit?

yea its plugged in lol i had the head unit in an 98 outback and it worked perfectly but the antenna was on the roof not in the window

with my stock head unit the radio worked good now its nothing if i get on the hill or to more open area it works.... and when i touch with my hand where the antenna comes out of the window it works good.... is there any like after market antennas that you can put to the car??

Sounds like you dont have a good connection at the antenna. Might need to pull the HU back out and clean the antenna plug and also where it plugs into the car. Also might want to add some dielectric grease.

fixed it :P

by where the antenna goes on the back there is an little amplifier the connector was touching to the metal and it made the connection bad.... sealed it in a plastic wrap and electrical tape

works amazing :P!!!
