so this is what replaced my SUS
its a 1985 GL sedan with push-button 4wd 5mt
one of the last ones in iceland that isn't completely rusted trough :-?

Good find and condition for a 23 yo car.
Any Interior or Engine Bay w/ spare tire pics? :smile:

80's wheel covers! I remember someone who had a 73 Subaru (can't remember the model) it was nice.

The most fun car I have ever driven was an 83 GL. There's just something about them.
Is your's carbureted? (I hope not) I'd like to see a picture of the push button 4WD. Must be weird.

I would Kill to have a GL sedan that Clean...then I could put an SVX motor in it and kill myself havng too much fun....awesome find!

Good luck man. The carb was a big problem (plus electrical) on our GL. My dad and I had to build a manual choke for the thing so it wouldn't open in cold weather. Keep and eye out for that carb; hopefully you're better at it then me. :wink:

over here EA82´s came with manual choke from 1985 to 1988 so the carb is no problem on this baby :grin:
i actualy found another one yesterday, i´m seriously thinking about buying it.
that one is a 1988 red GL COUPE ! and it actualy looks better than mine :oops:

That´s my friend corolla with steelies on the back no doughnuts :grin:
my best run was 17.925 @ 76.33mph
the pictured run was my first, ran a 18.395 @ 71.52mph and the corolla 18.900 @ 69mph :grin:

that ios bad ass, but i think is should be in the members 1 rides. the gl was the forrunner to the legacy.

well i sold that car for just over 1000$ :grin:
and bought another one for 300$ (see other tread)
