strut combo question.

hey guys has anyone actually put sti struts and is it possible to justm ount them in or do i need to do some kind of modyfing to the struts or what? and do you know if 05 struts combos will work ? and if anyone has any insight to something i should look ahead to please give me a heads up. i have an oppertunity to buy some extremely clean and cheap 05 struts.

04 sti struts only fit the 100x5 hubs the 114.5x5 have different hubs. they spaced the bolts futher apart where the strut bolt up to the hub.

so theres no point in getting them even if i can get all 4 with strut tops for around 150 shipped.?
