Keyless entry wackiness

My keyless entry module keeps clicking and flashing the lights. Is there a way to turn this thing off? The remote doesn't seem to be working. BTW its a 98 Outback.

Under your dash should be a black button. Its pretty small and you may have to do some looking. After you find it, push it in and hold it down and turn your key to the "on" position while holding the button. That should shut it off.

Sorry let em rephrase that cause its not actually under the steering column.. its on the drivers side by the pedals
