Like Ive said Im new to the whole subie world...and everyone says to read around before asking a stupid question, but Ive been looking around for aftermarket parts for my 04 Legacy and all the parts are for 97-03 or 05GT....is there no love for the 04 or is my model the ugly step sister?

Ask yourself....which does yourr car look more like? the 03 or the 05?

so most of the 03 parts with transfer over?

Yeah...for the most part.

Trial by error my friend. You could always mod things to fit.

yeah, 2000-2004 is the same car, except maybe a few minor changes

But good luck finding parts. The BE (2000 - 2004) is the red headed step child. Be ready to get luck or pay some money. If you see something for sale you better buy it quick before someone else does.

yeah, there are minor changes within the generations, but most of the stuff is the same from 00-04. The engines were all the same, so that's no biggie, all they really changed was cosmetic type stuff, I think.

The idiots on Ebay that put weird year combinations don't know what they're talking about, or they're trying to get more hits, even if their product isn't something you're looking for.

Probably the reason you see 97-03 (not sure why it wasn't to 04) was that the EJ25 became common in 97 and goes all the way through...

As Pdawg said, its hard, especially with a 3rd gen Legacy, but look at some of the 3rd gens (fibuz's especially) and you can find some cool stuff.

Being the red-headed step child in the Legacy family means youre really screwed. I mean, its hard enough to find alot of parts for a BD. Well i mean, theyre out there, but in most cases you kinda feel like you took a dry run from some trucker named Bubba. Good luck though man! Dont forget to check out the links on this site for parts.
