new to the subaru world, just got a 02 subaru legacy l, and was wondering if you gents and ladies could provide me with some links or some go-to's in this forum to better my daily driver.

something things i'm definantly looking to change/add to the car: first and foremost before anything else, are lowering springs, rims, spacers, cai, etc... Also i've been looking for modification for the headlights but unless you're doing a hid swap you're outta luck...and i was wondering how much it would cost to get the rubstrips on the doors shaved and painted?

Welcome. Is your car a sedan or wagon?

Lowering springs are limited on choices. The most popular is the H&R's which lower the car about 1.5in. There are a few others made by Whiteline, but that's about it. Coilovers are the next step in lowering.

Headlights...see if you can find some JDM HID headlights. If you can't find them, the next best step is getting GT headlights w/ an HID kit. The L headlights are single bulb, and the GT headlights are dual bulb, so you're able to use HIDs for the low beam and keep your high beams.

I looked into getting those side strips painted on my L when I first got it. If I did the labor myself, it was $100 for materials. If the body shop did it...they wanted $500+. I decided to just leave them the way they are, I think they make the car look more aggressive. :twisted:

Welcome, nice to have a fellow BE owner. Just like KAG said, suspension choices on are cars are kinda rare, you REALLY have to look for them. But an H&R spring/KYB GR-2 setup isn't a bad idea.
