After only 2 years with my Legacy we may be parting...I have found that I need a bit more room than the sedan provides. I have looked at about a million different Legacy wagons, but I jsut can't get into them. It would require far too many mods to make me happy (performance and visual)
I have been scourign the net looking for a WRX wagon, though. I never thought I'd go Impreza, but that lil' wagon is getting to be a good deal these days.
I wish it didn't have to be this way, lol, I am in love with the BD's styling - but I can't put a 4x12 guitar cab in there....not with a guitar at least.
When my son is old enough I'll buy him a BD to build up...They should only be about $400 by then.lol.
(on a good note: I've got some yummy *yes you can eat them* parts up for grabs soon)

Dang.
The Impreza wagon has less cubic feet of space (year to year) than the Legacy wagon...

I have moved so much in a Legacy Wagon it isn't even funny.
The only way my Sienna van has more space is if some seats come out.
But, you mentioned performance, so what are your other options?
Benz R500?

Forester FTW! I've been looking into possibly getting a Forester for my fiance. They look so nice with little work done to it, but she doesn't like so there goes that idea

Forresters go well with Birkenstocks and Indigo Girls CDs...
Otherwise, wagons rock! I'm hoping to get one more winter out of my '90 before it gives me the last big FU, but I'll probably be looking for a high mile Saabaru WRX wagon when it does. I don't know why, but I really love those stupid things.

modified Foresters are slick too... they look like bad-ass Scion xB's with actual engines.

[x] Bad = Scion XB
[x] Ass = Scion XB
[?] Badass = Scion XB

WRX wagon = turbo 2.0L FTW
Plus, the cargo is enough for my 4x12 guitar cab, effects, and guitars. Plenty of room.

...and both my garbage cans to the dump on Saturday. It's a beautiful thing!

Foresters freakin' rule! Seriously, our Forester's handling (in stock form) really surprises me with how well it stays planted in the corners.
