1984 Toyota Supra
117,xxx miles on it second owner

Sadly One morning I went out to start her up
What else do i hear but a lower end knock
Right now the motor is apart and the Supra is sitting outside till the garage is clean

They both have about the same factory horsepower
I need to start saving and firgure out what im gunna do
Anyways Here are some pictures from past and present

Im gunna do mine black satin black
And see what i can do
I understand its the 2.2l

Anything i should know before getting into these cars?
Thanks for the compliment aswell

It depends on what you want out of it. If you are going for looks, the more power to you. These cars look great when tastefully modded. If you want to go fast you won't do it with that motor, you would have to plan for some sort of swap.

Motor mostly stock i plan to use it for winter and DD
Snowboard rack
Some fogs with yellow tinting maybe
Outback bumpers fit regular legacy?
Intake and exhaust
I kinda wanna lower it a lot
Idk what your suggestion would be
im more for the looks of lowering on this then drivability
so lower better
And best exhaust for the boxer rumble you guys talk about

I mean you can do some stuff to make it a little quicker and more fun. I tighter suspension would help out. Lowering springs, KYB GR2 struts and a rear strut bar. If you don't want to spend too much money on it get some OEM sway bars off an out back. Also yes the outback bumper will fit your car.

For that boxer rumble you want unequal length headers. Borla style knock offs. You can find them on eBay ever so often. If you want to go low, either Whiteline flat outs or RS*R springs are the lowest I know of.

Im gunna have some fun doing some fake rallying in the snow before i lower it to much haha
But alright I will keep my eye out for the borla knock offs
The outback sways bolt right in and all?
I plan to have a lot of fun going snowboarding with this car
How much do board ski racks go for usually?

Thanks again for helping me out,Justin

I never looked into ski racks so I wouldn't know. Ask in the exterior forum, maybe someone will have an answer for you.

Shit, if you have dual exhaust ports on your heads you can get the UEL header. If you are assed out like me and have single port heads your are sitting on the sideline with me watching these guys with their fancy aftermarket headers.

Nice supra. And I agree with reason, you can make a 2.2L fun to drive, but it'll never be Holy-God fast.

Yeah
And There are no headers for single ports?
Ill check to see what i have
And whatever i want it to sound nice and look nice
And be like a pimp wagon lolol
if that isnt given the wrong way you know

PM me if you do.

I always like the way they squat in the rear when they're about to take off.

...
Outback bumpers fit regular legacy?....

Both front and rear for same model years.

I was like OMG!!?!? supra!!!!!!! but then i realized you have an older non-turbo. Either way its still a nice good lookin car

I am all for the MKIII but the MKII is still a classic. Don't listen to these downers. a 7MGTE is a very affordable so is a 1JZ..

Either way nice ride. Hows the rust? Rockers? Frame Rails? Floor?

I'v seen 100's of these but there never in good condition. Its that cheap japanese battle ship metal they used.

Nice! I've had 4 83-85 Celicas. Basically a Supra with a 4 cylinder... haha

This was the best one I had... 83 HB... GTS wheels like yours and a late MKII Supra hatch. Got totaled 2 days after this pic...
