1997 brighton 2.2L 5 speed

i have a 1997 legacy brighton with a 2.2L and 5speed with a bad 2nd gear. the clutch is cable driven. i am having a hard time finding parts to overhaul it or a good used unit. does anyone know what years and models will fit my car. any info would be appreciated.

Any Subaru from 95-99 with an EJ22 and EJ25 engine with a 5MT will work for sure. This includes Impreza's.

Just double check your final drive ratio but mechanically everything will bolt up.

Clutch and lightweight flywheel are great mods for these cars.

most 2.2 use 3.9 final drive so you need to find a 95-01 impreza 2.2, 02-04 impreza TS
or 95-99 legacy 2.2 5 speed tranny
