Ok I'm trying to figure out exactly what I'd need to do the Stromung midpipe install myself. So what am I looking at? Gaskets? Any new bolts or springs?

When I do the high flow cat, what kind of O2 sensor pulller will I need? Gaskets, etc?

Thanks guys.

First dont pull on the o2 sensor. there screwed in and to get it off youll need to maybe rent a o2 sensor socket at ur local auto parts store also u probally want to get all new bolts but ur springs should be ok. also youll need a gasket any place a flange is

Yeah that's what I meant. But that's down the road. For now, I'll just be doing the midpipe. I just installed the SPT axle back about a month or two ago. Would I already need a new gasket for the connection?

Gaskets are cheap enough to just get new ones for the replacement. But if they are fairly new you shouldn't have to replace the. Also depending on how bad your old bolts are. None of us can tell you that, you have to look and see how they are.

Ok thanks. Just wasn't sure if there was something that typically needed to be done.

get the metal gaskets. the paper metal ring gasket tend to leak.
oem are metal
some aftermarket are metal but there hard to find

Yeah I got the metal gasket for the axle back from Napa when I had that installed. I'll have to get another for the cat/midpipe end.

I've always used a Vice Grip tool to get the O2 sensor out. Spraying it down with WD40 helps.

I've had no luck with vice grips or WD40 or PB blaster on any of my O2 sensors...

I have better luck with crescent wrench jammed into a breaker bar. A torch helps too sometimes...

a 7/8 flare wrench or a o2 socket and a bar is how the usally come out

They're really that difficult to get out, eh? Good lord...

I'm about to find this out myself.. still debating on whether i should re-use my old o2 sensors or not... since they never set the CEL off themselves.

If there's nothing wrong with them, and you don't break 'em trying to get them out, I'd say save yourself the cash and use them.

Yeah i might.. i guess its more of the problem of do i want to replace them later if they go bad.. so maybe i'll just throw the $120 down the drain and do it anyways... even though they dont seem like they were bad.

22mm wrench. fits the o2 sensors perfectly. but if you are doing the mid pipe you wont have to remove them so dont worry about them.

1 donut gasket for between the cat/mid pipe. and 1 metal gasket for between the mid/axle back.

i just bought a donut, 1 metal gasket, and 2 header gaskets and it waqs 27$ at the suabru dealer.

Gotcha. I put my order in but it looks like they're a bit behind in production. I'm looking at late next week for a shipment time.

yeah. My midpipe is LTR too. Stromong wants to STOL producing parts for us. I talked to patrick from there tonight about their n/a build race car. And stromong. They are good guys.

Midpipe came today. Going to work on the install this weekend. It snowed here today (and still is) but looks like a halfway decent weekend.
