I've got a bd gt and wanted to go with a different front bumper. I really like my gray lip cause of it not being a limited...was wondering if there is a jdm bumper that has a little different style but still oem.

It's got a dent in it and the bumper itself needs a lot of tlc. I basically need a front and rear...but looking to see what there is out there

Edited by Huffer because your thread title was meaningless.

Yeah, the JDM bumpers look a lot better than the USDM, I love the look of the later BG5 bumpers with round fogs each side of the license plate:

If you want something more aggressive there is always the bumper primitive racing carries:

d1giPhux: do you have a higher-res version of that pic? I could use a new desktop :smt023

the difference over usdm with the jdm one looks to be the center part of the bumper, but I hate the agressive style of the aftermarket bumpers.

I'd almost consider doing a outback sus bumper...

Outback bumpers are pretty easy to find, and sedan and wagon front bumpers are the same (same part #s) so any outback bumper would work for you, it looks like you'd want to grab the outback bumper beam also.

There are a few people here who've done that mod, I'm sure one will chime in

The only way I'd go about doing it is if I got the right bumper in great shape. figured it would be the beam and cover to get the job done...may consider a trade...hum...

I just know a lot of people want the Gt bumper...but I want an outback bumper fitted for the round fogs and the larger center section...but want to think this out...

other options?

A third generation front end on a second gen would be extremely hard to do and very, very expensive

I am about to install my JDM bumper like d1gi has got. Be aware its not cheap either! Heres what I've paid so far.
Bumper & bumper beam (w. optional parking poll) $375 shipped
Paint! $565!
Kouki fogs & grill $275.

Total uninstalled is $1,215!

I've got the joy of being in subie country. I can get Gt hoods, outback bumpers, and mostly any body parts I want from Subies no problem. Sedan stuff is more difficult, but wagon stuff is so easy.

might start trying to hook some people up if they are looking for hoods and stuff...just found out how many leg's make it to the yard and most are 2.5's with blown engines cause of the hg issue

If you want my old GT hood let me know - Reason and Chicago96GT have dibs but Reason will pass if the shipping is too expensive, and Chicago hasn't responded to my message. I can add you to the list, so when you come get the wheels/brakes etc we can trade hoods. I'll take the L hood, you can have the GT one + some cash.

So a silver BD went rolling past me at BK and was a 2.5gt...ran out into drive thru to talk to the guy, and the swap was really easy all he did was cut and use zip ties and it looks perfect...my kind of modder...looked clean and can get the cover for $190 new then paint and so on, but just had to see one rolling around first...I will do mine with the center part left grey and paint the outsides
