I think I might have found my OB's next paint/decal scheme

For the longest time, I wanted black on black, but then I decided that i wanted something that showed some more heritage than that. I've settled on this famous paint scheme off the 1993 rally Legacy, #555:

A vinyl making shop will be able to do all of those for you - any place like FastSigns that does car-wraps can cut those.

Just as a heads-up, 555 is a brand of cigarettes owned by British-American Tobacco, that sponsored the cars on and off.

I think it's a cool decal scheme, and a neat tribute to the late-great McCrae, just wanted you to know the above info.

Looking at the decals more and more, I'm not a huge fan of how the parenthesis thing is toward the back of the car on the passenger side, but it's toward the front of the car on the driver side. When I do mine, it'll definitely be mirrored so that the parenthesis thing is toward the back on both sides.

And Dave, I did think about the fact that it is a cigarette brand. All my friends know that I don't support tobacco use in any way anymore so I kind of feel hypocritical, but as for as legendary, heritage filled rally numbers for Legacys, there aren't that many more floating around WRC history, so I'm kind of stuck with it.

You don't need numbers on the car to pay homage to WRC heritage.

"WRC" is enough. Think about it. If you were celebrating the olympics would you put Coca Cola allover your car?

This is true. I guess (like all decisions I think are "final" on my car) I'm going to have to do a lot of thinking and rethinking about all the details on this before I make a final answer.

Damn, that is a good idea! I might just have to go with that. I'll see if I can't photoshop that in to get an idea of what it's like.

I was thinking about putting #382 on the side (as my friends know, that's "my" number for anything race related), but I like that model's decal scheme. It almost seems wrong to make the 555 number be something else since it's a brand name rather than a racing number.
