I am thinking those are function over form. It is a race car, I hope......
Can't wait to see the Hondas around town pop up with those hanging off the sides!

Cool, more Honda bashing...
But I do agree that those are definitely function over form.
I personally love the new Forester. Out of all of them, I'd be willing to say it's the best, IMO.

the new design of the forester is nice for a stock DD but its lost the fun side of the car

Not Honda bashing, the same kids are doing it to their Saturns and Toyotas....... just Honda is the biggest common denominator.
The way I see it, it went away from on-road, track type performance and more toward outdoorsy, adventurous. If I bought one, I'd go off-roading with it and go that direction with mods.
And for the record, those things seem a lot bigger in pictures.

lol I dunno where I been but I noticed the hatch has 4 doors also.. I can't see what is the point of keeping the 4 door sedan? I know it's only for the U.S. market but I can't see it being made much longer unless it gives you much more room over the hatch which I also fail to see...

i don't really understand owning any hatchback...sorry just not my style. I guess I just don't really have a use for one. I actually drove an 08' STI and its fairly fast, i just can't get over the old looks. Guess i'm just and old school bugeye fan

Here's a silly observation...I have that issue of import tuner, it's a track/time attack car. Stock front end needed some downforce for the speed the car could generate. They're huge and ugly, but functional. And nothing is uglier than my car. Nothing.
FYI all of our front ends produce lift, even though they're prettier.
I've got nothing against cannards, but those?? Why didn't they just go with the classic low profile carbon that most go with? A couple good sized ones on each side should've produced some significant downforce.

just found this car and I can only imagine the g's that this monster will pull. I wonder what size tires its running? 355's maybe.

the vertical slat on the ouside of the canards makes it into a sort of 'cup' shape, extremely functional, and much more so than the slimmer canards. This car and the 'squashed' bugeye above were meant for speed. Notice how all the wings on the GT cars and the like have endcaps on the end? It's the same basic idea, even dreaded Nascar is using endcapped-wings now.
I can imagine few things scarier than going into a corner at 140 and turning the wheel...only to find nothing happens.

for actual functionality of those things don't you think it would be best if it was attached directly to the frame? i mean pulling on a bumper isn't really going to do much i wouldn't think....
