oh, you guys will love this. sitting at work, i got on the bandwagon again, hoping there may have been some sort of breakthrough in engineering, with the recent onset of li-po battery packs. here's what i did, and i hope huffer's not mad at me for this  . i checked out http://www.electricsupercharger.net while surfing and wound up e-mailing them this:

o.k. i'm very skeptical about this. i have gone through your "forum" and i can say without doubt, the forum is a fabrication! i am currently on SL-i.net as liquidracing. i am however interested in any "real" information you have reguarding this "electric" supercharger you have. lastly, if your product is as good as you say, and can back up what you preach, then i invite you to come onto SL-i.net and make any attempt to educate everyone on the art of electric supercharging. now, i don't mean to offend anybody at your company, but, calculations speak for themselves. if your putting out 8psi, that means you have to have about 5-6h.p. worth of power. if that is converted into watts, then using pie to find out the amperage draw, you'll see that no "electric" charger on the planet can pull the required power from a boost controller(looking at the schematic in the press section of your site). it is around 3700 watts, or 308amps at 12v d.c. i really hope you guys have actually stumbled on something the rest of us have missed in our diligent efforts in gaining power by unconventional methods, because this sounds like a run-of-the-mill bilge blower for a boat! if you haven't produced real numbers, you should be sued for mis-representation, for stating, and i quote, "we personally guarantee gains of at least 30% of both horsepower and torque." aside from the fact that the integra displayed on your site IS true turbocharged. anyone with even little knowledge can look at it and see the turbo with oil lines and exhaust manifold, etc. like i said, i don't mean to offend anyone, but, that is a brave statement to make based on a 100 dollar product, that "appears" to be solid metal. i just wonder why you won't post pics, and keep referring those so-called forum writers to the picture on your home page. plus, i can't post on your forum, so, you can see why i am holding my b.s. flag at the ready to start waving b.s. back and forth. i emplore you to write me back and walk the walk if your "pimp shit" is what you say it is.

sincerely,
james

p.s. seriously, contact me about this, i want to know! if you don't/won't contact me backing up your claims, i will make sure every boost loving junkie i have at my disposal contacts everyone they know about this. remember e-Charger? they ate their words, make me eat mine! i dare you, because your product is impractical, impractically priced, impractically powered with impractical output. laws of physics say b.s. so, the ball's in your court.

please don't hate me huffer!

Most of these electric superchargers are snake oil. I'd be interested in seeing if they give you a "real" answer!

If you're really keen on finding out information, it would always help to show your seriousness but using proper punctuation and grammar. Without using proper punctuation and grammar, you come across as some kid who just wants to go poking his stick at an invention.

Personally, if I ran a company and I got an email that didn't contain the most basic form of written communication; I would ignore it.

The basic English language can take you miles.

You probably shouldn’t have thrown the site in their either unless a admin gave you the ok to.

its only 120 dollars, try it and let us know.

My only concern is it raping volts from the cars battery.
(is it using less energy than what a stock alternator can push out?)

if i saw this before, i would've gave it a shot but i am in the process of building my car.

"Dont knock it till you try it"

Warrior,
Thank you very much for your lesson in english grammer. I was unaware that my english was so unsatisfactory that it warranted retort from such an educated person such as yourself. In the future, I promise, I will do everything in my power to NOT write how YOU want me to.

Sincerely,
Me

subba, i will "knock it" because what they have is horses*$%! one has to look at the site as a whole before judgement can be passed on their product.
there is NO electric motor that consumes 3000watts for 100 dollars available, even to distributors such as myself.
to briefly state my case, i have been researching electronic supercharging now, very steadily, for about 7 years. i have made 8 prototypes, all of which were horribly underpowered.
my fledgling company, which i stated in the e-mail is LiquidRacing Enterprises. I own a fabrication shop specializing in sheet/strap/rod fabrication.
i have, in the last two years, been learning a new-to-me fabricating method called fiberglass. fun stuff, dry quick and hard. my 9th prototype is based off of an original equipment air cleaner box and fiberglass. magnesium compressor wheel mounted inside. this is running off of 120volt 20amp power.
to my knowledge it is the highest voltage ever applied to an aftermarket performance product, ever!
again, using pie, it equates out to 3600 watts surge/2400 watts rms. enough juice, finally. here's where "the other mentioned company" is whoring the public:
i have 7 years R&D into this, from d.c. brushless to a.c. multi-pole motors, compressors galore, and a handfull of blown or melted breakers in my shop.
just the mobile power supply alone is $120(my cost, i am an electrical distributor as well)
my company, L.R.E. is my side job, 'cause i also do alot of residential custom metals fabricating, like stair wells, security bars, etc.

what i did, was invite "them" here to see if they have a leg to stand on, which i do not at all believe they do. if i'm wrong, which i hope i am, then they would have a new audience to work with.
the whole mis-representation thing i wrote in there put MY COMPANY up against THEIRS, not this forum up against them.
i own a company that does what they do. my marketing sucks in comparison, which is fine. i believe their product sucks as bad as my marketing.
i take full responsibility for everything i say at all times! my company's neck is the one on the line, not this forum. i hope everybody's happy, i only want to see everyone succeed in their endeavors, except scam artists and con artists.

Thats what you should input to your email to them, Minus your Resume. i can remember a little situation with rallitek, their were complaints about rallitek's service and a rep came here to clear the air.
Its not what you say, its how you say it that will affect his/their intrest in going through the ordeals of joining a forum just to prove a point.

But i fully understand your intensions.

subba, tuchet. you are absolutely right! i did word it ummm....provocatively i suppose, for lack of better terms. i just hate to see cons/scams take people for the last remaining pennies they may have, reguardless of the product! it's just morally wrong, imho. i did get a bit carried away in that e-mail. have you checked out the site yet? if you do, you WILL see the recirculating jargon that continues to loop itself around itself. it just got under my skin.

their was a discussion that was brought up somewhere in this forum, i thought and still think its alload of crack but thats how the "Tornado" was too lol but i learned not to pass jusdgement based on theories.

I did look at the site, sucks that they only have 1 user review and a dead forum, which sucks and on top of that they barely explain how the setup works.

i Would try it though :P i will just dip into my Monthly PS3 Game purchasing fund lol

there ya go suba....ps3 fund is a revolving door type of fund me thinks. unfortunately, i won't try it unless they can prove their, and i quote, "pimp shit". i've sunk so much money into my own developement i can't justify blowing a c+ on something that may or may not work. if you do it, let us know how it works out, would ya? just for fun, compare that site with, http://www.boosthead.com . now, seriously, boosthead.com IS for real and CAN back up their claim. just expensive as hell! so far, thomas knight is the man when it comes to e-charging aside from me, but, i'm not done yet!

The "forum" is a complete facade. It's scripted like a bad porno, but instead of the actress getting screwed, it's the customers. None of the posts that are listed as being multiple pages are, if you click to see the second or third page, it takes you nowhere.

I know little to nothing about webpage scripting, but my guess is that it's just a series of linked pages and it doesn't even use the BB software/database???

It gives a 15sec burst of boost because of battery life, Just what i thought.

Good stuff but i am not sure if a electric supercharger is worth it though :-/

EXACTLY! that is why i called bullsh!t on the less priced company, it IS that hard to make boost, and THAT expensive, electric-wise anyway. that's what set me off about their so-called "product" in the first place. although, it would be extremely unique to have a "happy button" for conventional boost as opposed to nitrous. as a result, on with my own research on this e-charge adventure.

edit] it is not the length of battery current capacity that tk is concerned about, it's the amount of time the electric motor is subjucted to at the high level of power being drawn by the electric motor.

The only electric SC kit that I know of that actually works is the Knight Racing one from a few years back...IIRC they added about 50bhp or so to an 2.4l Altima. It's powered by a couple of extra batteries, got about .5 sec in the quarter over stock...

The system doesn't work 100% of the time mind you, it's basically like an "over boost" function or like you're running on nitrous.

Too bad a good nitrous system costs about $500, and this one was about $2k...

i think it can be done for well under 2k(custom built per application), but definitely not for $120 shipped! that's just ridiculous.
if my 9th passes, then the total cost would be roughly $700ish, producing a conservative estimated 5+psi.
i wonder exactly what that equates to in whp? i am doing it 'cause i'll have the only sytem on the planet, for a short time, hopefully

also, do they make an boost activated timing module to manipulate timing? 'cause i can't find anything that i'd say is "it", to go along with rapid-rate fmu.
other than those two things, the rest of the stock ecu, sensers and such should be good up to 10psi (IF and only IF, both timing and fuel delivery are piggy-backed correctly to work on a wot switch).
that being said, i don't see why you could'nt see an extra 50hp or so at the wheels in wot with a proper custom e-charger(not the cheap e-bay one  ) AND only add about 50-60lbs to the car.
the highest level of "static" pressure i've been able to produce so far is 13psi, but, that's with zero flow exept through the bov. on with the research
