hi i just got a 98 legacy outback on hear lookin to find out where i can get a nice intake exaust headlights chip .. probly wont get to aggressive with it but if i do after that point id go into suspension and transmission tuneing and stuff

Welcome, scratch the "chip" these aren't european cars. Intake find an impreza intake on eBay. As for exhaust it's a matter of opinion. Some say bolt on is better, some say custom is better. Some like UEL header over EL headers. Check the sound clip thread of exhaust and go from there.

whats hel and el lol and yeah i thought they needed chips like other cars idk much about these yet but i will learn

*edit* and the impreza intake will fit with like no modification im not to tool handy or anything im shure i could get someone to help and all tho but no moding would be better

UEL= Unequal length EL=equal length. Check out SLi 101 for abbreviations and acronyms you will come across here.

You can tune these cars but it's not as easy as installing a "chip".

yeah its really nice 65k miles looks new inside and out go tthe 2.5 only thing is id like it to sound a and move a lil spunkyer i already know its not ganna be a real high horsepower super fast car that i will miss about my supercharged riviera but that thing handled like a boat falling from space

I wouldn't say scratch the chip.

I have a ECM power chip. It's not a chip that goes in/on the ECU it's a piggy back to the ECU and it changes that Air/Fuel mapping and something else that I forgot to make MO POWA.

I can't say it gave me X amount of power because it's not installed yet.

Un -equal lenght hearders - more boxer rumble and not that much additional power - Ex: Borla or Borla Replica/knock offs

Equal Lenght headers - more power, less boxer rumble - Ex: OBX

Cat back exhaust is really by taste. Some go with the SPT axle back and stromung mid-pipe some go cat back stromung it really goes by taste and budget

*WARNING*
Be careful with the EJ25's because they have bad factory head gasket so when she starts to over heat, then most likely it's the Head gasket

you don't have to go after market. If you take it to a shop to get it fixed the new head gasket will last you for as long as your car will last.

It's only the old gasket that as bad, but the replacement ones are good.

ok word that is verry good to know i was wondering if i had got one with or without the headgasket prollem but i will probaboly just change it to save the trouble of finding out thanks for that
