Hey guys, anyone who is bored, or good with photo shop, I would like to see what my car would like if...

1) the headlights had a yellow tint over the entire unit, and a black mesh grill with no logo

2) the headlights had a yellow tint over the entire unit, and a black mesh grill with no logo, an outback/GT hood, and tinted windows

3) and last the headlights had a yellow tint over the entire unit, and a black mesh grill with no logo, an outback/GT hood, tinted windows, gunmetal powder coated wheels (current wheels), and a medium suspension drop.

Here's the picture for your fun:

No hood.

Hmmm.... Tint looks good, and I think the lights would look good with the original wheels. I thought that gunmetal wheels would look better, but maybe I'll keep them aluminum finish. Thanks for the chop!

I've got one coming...the left side headlight came out really nice, the right, not as good...and I have to find a hood yet, but its mostly done :)

I went overboard on the tint on the headlights. I think I'll redo that with no yellow and see how it goes :)

I also gave you JDM tails

Personally, I wouldn't tint the headlights yellow. Looks old and dirty. Might try greenish if anything to color match.

I'm going with yellow headlights because no one makes a yellow h7 bulb. I have the worst time driving in rain/snow because my vision is so poor. I have astigmatism and some extremely white headlights, so not only can I not adjust to incoming light as is, but then my lights are reflecting off of everything. I plan to do an non permanent headlight tint, in case I don't like it I can take it off immediately. Also, I plan to do some eyelids on the headlights, so I think the yellow won't be so harsh. And mark, the level of yellow tint you used is spot on. Thanks.

The window tint and hood are future plans (hopeful plans anyhow), and the grill will be done in a week or two. Been thinking about maybe putting the logo in, but not in the same way you did mark.

Here are a few of my ideas tacked on, (via MSpaint  )

Oh and here's a smaller one. Sometimes mods don't look right up close:

PWT-I tried. I liked how the left headlight turned out better than the right. When you're working with Hue and Saturation, you can never get it right the same, unless you copy all the values down.

I like the placement of the emblem :) And the eyelids look good too :D

Tint also fits well on that car. I think I'm going to go back in and try gold rims, just cause I'm obesessed with them :D

Shazapple: Yes, they do suck. You just have to hope for the best, or slow down to a crazy slow rate of speed :?

Or check out ozeparts for the glass projector headlights that are probably a lot better than our plastic super-diffused ones :D

I might use the AWD badge I took off the rear, since its nice and small. I'd repaint it of course, but I don't know if that'd be t3h ch33se (cheesey)

I just got off the phone with Jazz it Up, a local 4wheel and tuner shop here in colorado and they said they'd custom cut some rockblocker yellow film to my headlights and install it for $50 ($25/light). I was so excited I totally forgot to ask about eyelid vinyl. Oh well, maybe when I have them do it.

I just picked up some headlight polishing disks, so I will see how that works. My entire light transformation will get documented in another thread.

Hit the nail on the head!!! The BE's lights are ten times worse than the BD... :( SilverStars help alittle though

The lights on highbeams only shine straight out in a flat beam... if you are going through hilly terrain, you can't see down the road half the time... :?

-BB98

Oh, and putting projector fogs on my BD and aiming them higher helped too  probly blinded a few people at night, but oh well. Didn't even need to have the low beams on if i didn't want to. Those fogs plus my high beams were awsome!

I noticed my lights seem a bit low. Actually, the left one is low and the right (passenger) looks normal, which doesn't help vision. My lights are pretty cloudy as well, so like I said, I'll clear them up and see what that does, then the yellow, and if I am having problems after that, maybe I will go to an even more intense light.

Yeah, white wheels actually do look nice on there....I still like gold better, but the yellow clashes with it too much to look really awesome.

HOLY CRAP!!!  Munkfish, that chop looks sweet! White it is! I can't even think of anything that could make it look better than the way it is right there (except a new exhaust out back, but that's not visible from this angle). I'm saving that picture and making that my goal. You rock!

They are beat? As in beat to death? Trite? Etc...? I have only seen 2 cars around here that have white wheels. One was a rice piece of over graphics-ized crap, and one was a nice clean car. In fact, most cars have strayed away from white. If anything gun metal and aluminum colored wheels are trite. I think the white really pops, and with the dark green, I think it'd look real good. So when I do them that way, well, you can bite your tongue on the wheels.

By the way, that image is my new background. I look at my goal everytime I get on. I will make it happen. And within the next few months.

PWT u know with white u will have to clean the rims like every day to keep them white.............and no offroading.

edit: Shouldn't be too bad with those rims though, much better than GT rims

Yeah, when I feel that I really need to punish my body I can always rely on the GT wheels on the ol' lady's leggy. Since its been washed twice since she has owned it, by me, they tend to get a little dusty.... Quite possibly the worst way to spend an afternoon. :x Im still trying to find wheels that I like that arent a pain to keep clean. Mind you, my legacy get washed sometimes 4 times a week in the summer. I would love to avoid doing wheels period.

My brake dust comes off real clean. I'm running akebono brake pads which doesn't leave dark black dust, but brown. And like I said comes off real clean. I think if I lower the car, I'd have to cut the off roading as well.

Once these tires wear out, I will just need to find a good powder coater. Like I said, I am a fan of white wheels, and have seen very few cars pull it off or even attempt it.
