ok so i just redid my oil seal for the oil pump, which requires taking of the timming belt. but when doing this i didnt keep track theres the cams originaly were. and now everything is al screwed up. i brought cylinder one to TDC then lined up the marks like the books says but it stll doesnt turn, any body know how to get it back ?

i live in plaistow, its at the bottom of nh. and ithink i got it. but if this isnt it then ill proba bly need ur help. cuz ive never timed a motor thats was distributerless.

im also wondering how the compter knows when to sets a spark to each cylinder. can anyone tell me how that works?

I believe from the crankshaft position sensor, but i could be wrong

cam postion sensor does spark. crank does do somewhat help with spark. but mostly is just for picking up the RPM

i figured it out. for some reason on the crankshaft gear there is two marks, and arror and a line. and i was going by the arrow before. but i got i runingg. =]

thanks man. im glad i learned how to time a subaru. and pull the motor. it was probably the mopst full filled 3 days adventure.the new clutch is mint. =] . she feels like a new car
