I finally got the nerve to go to a high speed track and put the Legacy out there.
I should have taken more videos, but here is a small clip from my last lapping session.

I eventually catch the 350z too.

I can't equate it all to skill. I'm sure my car has more power. There was a fellow with a Cobalt SS school car that kept up with me. I ended up passing it but even though, but it wasn't easy. My car weighs a bit more but definately has more power.

Work in Redmond, live in Kent/Covington area.

I try to make it to Subie events when I can, but I've had to skip a few this year, like the West Coast Subaru show.

Is that a Heads Up Display I see on your dash?

Yes, it is a Defi VSD. It works with the Defi control unit. It has some nice features.

Such as a warm up mode. It will display oil or water temp when you first startup until the motor reaches the optimum temp.

You can program the shift warning lights. It does have a digital tach, but in practice it is very small and hard to read. The shift lights flash green warning, then red. The warning levels are all programmable.

very nice. Looks like so much fun, I'm hoping to get to some auto-x's next year. What was your top speed? Your speedo looked buried!

Not sure exactly.

My speedo was pegged at 120mph at the end of the straight away. The Defi VSD will display speeds above that, but the problem was the EGT sensor was going nuts, so it was flashing my Exhaust temps. I think I will program the EGT alarm a little higher to avoid that problem next time.
