in my 96 bd6, i have a small issue; my electric locks don't always unlock when i use either driver's side key or the lever inside. the other three doors will ALWAYS lock, but, not unlock :-?
help? fuses are good, wires are good, the only other thing i can think of is the electric locking mechanism in the driver's side door itself. thoughts?

My Explorer did this to me for a while. How long has this been happening to you? My Explorer did it for two weeks then fixed itself. Every now and again it does it for a few minutes, but it never stays too long.

it's been doing this for the whole two years i've owned it. oddly enough, it seems to get more frequent as the temperature slowly drops and gets closer to fall. winter is the worst!

Hmmm...tough to diagnose. Maybe the relay that takes in the switch input and keyless signal is bad? That's strange. I just didn't pay much attention when it was on my Explorer since it was so off and on so I don't even know how everything works in there.

Drivers door actuator is going bad. Time for a replacement.
