Nitrous?

ahaha anyone ever run a 50 shot of nitrous with stock internals?

I know a couple of impreza guys have used nitrous on their stock motors...50 shot is doable.

I think they've run to a 75 maybe? IIRC, that's the highest I ever heard of anyone running consistently, but I could be wrong. As I stated in my sticky, I know nothing about nitrous.

aha so i would an FMU (fuel management unit)
an a/f ration gauge ( already have one)
what do think i should get for a bottle like 10 lbs?
im still learning about nitrous so bare with me.
also where do i fill up on this stuff? i dont want to buy a kit and realize i cant fill it up anywhere.
anything else i need?

aha i want it. 60 runs 15 seconds long each , thats alot. now i gotta find a kit. but yah you were a big help. i know little about nitrous, only what is does, and how its gets hooked up. but thanks for the help.. ill let you know if i ned anymore help

okay, in my experience you definately want a wet shot, sorry I'm kinda 2 months late on this, haven't had time to be active on the boards in the last like 2 years....

I bought a used zex dry kit and nearly blew my motor the first time I tried using it as the solenoid was frozen open and the "safety" device was inoperable. I then bought a used wet kit due to some extra research, and the same issue except that I tested it before installing it on the car (I learn from my mistakes)

I then purchased a new set of 100shot fuel and nitrous solenoids from ebay for like 60 bucks total and installed them with the plumbing from the other nitrous kit(s), got a WOT switch, MSD rpm window switch, msd tach driver, wb02 guage and SAFC2, and custom intake pipe.

for a little over 350 dollars I had everything I needed for my "safe" nitrous kit. I now have 187K miles and have been running an 85 shot for about a year and a half (started using nitrous at around 135K miles to intentionally blow the motor)

only noticable change in car is that it runs smoother when not under WOT, I think it cleaned the combustion chamber out some, and due to constantly taking the car to the track and local suby meets my 4eat is starting to die on me, clutch packs are somewhat weak and hessitate between reverse and 1st gear.... other than that not a damned thing has happened, but I don't spray all the time, and I use a WET kit, as our injectors aren't the best in the world and maxxing them out all the time with a dry kit isn't the smartest thing to do..... probably wouldn't have to worry on a 25-50 shot, but I like to be on the safe side (coming from a guy running an 85 shot!)
