My mate is strongly a mitsi guy. His whole family is, they have like 5 mitsis in the drive.

I let him have a go with my GTB in a paddock on sundday, he now either wants a galant VR4 or GTB :D

I'm going to be prodding him to the GTB side obviously

My Dad. He traded two Hondas for a JDM Impreza wagon. It's cashmere yellow and has the V5 interior minus the bucket seats. His interior is nicer than mine!

Back a few years ago my friend bought an Outback (BG) when I was driving my wagon because he was so impressed with it.
Now he is driving a '97 GT wagon!

Another friend who knew very little about cars at the time wanted something fast & reliable. Now he is driving a '94 SS which we just completed an auto to manual swap on.

Another good friend got really into Audi's when I was into them. He bought one of them from me, then I found him a 200TQ. Now I'm trying to find him a '96 2.2 5 speed Outback.

I've converted lots of friends.

Oh where to start....

4 - bd Legacy GT,
5 - bk/bg Outback
3 - bk Brightons

and if you wana talk about non-legacys

4 - gd impreza
2 - 96-99 Forester

no one wants turbo :-( damn gas prices! But everyone can appreciate AWD and reliablity

Talked the mom into an Impreza before I'd had any 'roos myself. When she went to get her second one, I told the salesman I'd like to get ANY 5 sp/AWD Subie he ran across for less than $2000.00, thinking he's not going to do anything about it, just acting interested to make the sale to the mom. The day she picked up her new 'prez, dude says " I found you one, want to see it?" Whoa, so I bought it.

A friend saw how well my car was treating me and bought a '98 BK. Had nothing but trouble with it (in his opinion) so after he drove it with a blown HG for a year, I fixed/upgraded all the shit he whined about and traded his for mine, now all seems right with the world.

Talked a co-worker into a Saabaru 9/2, he loves it.

My jackass, domestic loving brother-in-law won't let my sister buy an import. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

In the year I've had my baja turbo, more than 20 complete strangers have come up to me and asked me about it. Some were looking for smaller alternatives to the mainstream pickups, some looking for a more 4-season car.

My buddy up in VT bought a green 2nd gen wagon after giving him a few rides in my old car(RIP).

So what'd you find for Kris? a GT or an L? He didn't want another Nissan?

Never turned anyone onto Subaru's specifically, but between my BK, EVO, and my wife's Miata, I have earned respect for imports from my very muscle-car oriented friends.

My best friend and I had a ford explorer and dodge dakota respectively. When I made the jump to my BD he followed me, but with a WRX. I defected back to a dakota and still can't figure out why...

lol I found a BD local for under a grand. I'm just so broke from getting bill caught up I can't get it right now. It's an Auto...and Silver. No rust though.

Well, I was converted after helping Piddster on here build his badass BD.

Then I bought my BD in San Diego and my dad drove it all the way back to MN for me he wanted one, he's lookin into getting a newer GT

I also introduced my room mate to the whole car modding thing and she's hooked for life too

I didn't convert my former college roommate--he already had a 1.8 5mt fwd impreza wagon....

I turned him into a monster, he now has a 99 2.5rs coupe, a mid 90's L coupe preparing for a swap and 95 WRC replication, and a 98 L sedan he restored for his girlfriend. He's also swapped out the 1.8 for a 2.2 or 2.5 and converted it to AWD.
