My cousin is the owner.

It 1st began life as a 1972 911s. In late 1999, it was bought and a year long journey began of sourcing parts.

Somewhere around 2004 the car was pulled of the streets after a couple of drivetrain transplants (2 different early 90's 3liters), to undergo a 3.2 turbo conversion. Later only to swap to the current set up with 3.5l and larger turbo. All while seeing public roads and tracks yearly.

Currently working on a cage and some other R&D. I've been around this car from day 1. The car was stripped completely (not 1 piece of wire left in it) and quarters removed for replacements when it was 1st built. It's been through some motor swaps, but the body has only seen minor changes (different set of sideskirts)and track wheels (Fikse) since then. Street rollers are a custom set of HRE's. 18x9.5 up front, and 18 x 12 (yes, a foot) in the rear. It will be going under the knife 1 more time for some freshening up for next track season. Just some touch up paint work.

We also have 3 more in the family which at some point in time, I'll try and post here.

We agree. I not too fond of the later models either. Nothing against them, but sometimes less is more.

And as promised. Ace's nicknamed "Blackbird".

Too much width is not always a good thing.

So the car was brought back to swap back to his "winter storage" wheels.

A set of HRE's or Fikse might be replacing these next season. A redesign of the body as well as some other things that were R&D'd this past season, are in the works and might be the decision breaker for which wheels are to come.

:?: huh.... :smt017 The first set of rims were removed for these.

They're only 18's in that pic. Those are what he uses as his daily driver/storage wheels.

 You're right, but the "Blackbird" owner is keen on keeping the original 1/4's and fenders. I only meant his car when I said that.... Sorry Chuck! Can you ever forgive me??

The shop car was torn down, and the 1/4's replaced with all steel widebody to accommodate the 18x12's on the rear.
