I did some standing 400-1000 and 2000 grit and after I was done doing what it said in the DIY the headlight was smooth but it has a faint cloudy look maybe 5 min with 2000 grit sandpaper was not enough?

Did you use some polish or rubbing compound of some sort afterwards? The sandpaper alone usually isn't enough to get it perfectly clear.

Try some Meguiar's PlastX, that should clear it up.

u gotta use plastic X but only a tiny bit and really buff it out. tiny bit with a foam applicator pad for waxing. it works great. let the polish do the work. ALSO make sure you WET sanded them not dry

the cloudyness will be there. DO NOT SAND ANYMORE you can ruin the lenses. go to homozone and buy a thing called "mothers polish ball"

its a drill bit polish ball. add a little! polish to it and just watch TV with it going over your headlight. It will come out good as new. it helps cleaning our rims too!
