Needs a new axle back, PO did some off roading and smashed it all up.
And I need to do something about the stock radio.

Nice. For the axle back check out the SPT on eBay.

I saw yours, looks really nice. I'm thinking about getting an STi one and modding it on the cheap. I'm a welder by trade so moving some hangers and rotating a flange is no biggie.

All over the place man. lol
I lived on the west side for a number of years and I just moved back to springs so I'm staying with my parents in Black Forest for the time being.

Oh there you go, nice skills to have.

LOL yea, one of my other obsessions is vintage Jeeps. Being a welder really helps out I wouldn't be able to afford all the welding work I have in both of the jeeps.

I scored an STi turbo back with 400mi for $75, so ill be picking that up in the next day or so.
Just worked out cheaper than the SPT, plus I should be able to recoup a couple bucks by selling the rest of the STi exhaust.

Thinking about mud flaps, replace the deck and some rubber mats.

I would but I don't have a video camera. theirs not much to hear, the tone is deeper but thats about it.
I thought about rock blocker, I use the covers 99% of the time so I haven't bothered yet.

Some updates coming soon.

Snagged a cargo cover and new corner markers off the board here and I'm working on adding heated seats.

On a sad note my windshield is cracked and my heater core cracked about 5K ago ($800, ouch).

So I decided the stereo needed a little sprucing up. I had replaced my stock deck with a JVC that has USB and aux in on the front a while back. So last weekend I added 4 Sony speakers from Crutchfield and the sub came out of an 07 sti, I scored it on ebay cheap with the 14 pin "T" harness.

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/06/4724045425_2b5a5c041b-1.jpg

I thought for sure I was going to have to modify the bracket that holds the sub down but when I put it all together it dropped right in.
Its not going to remind you of a 10 in the trunk, it just doesn't hit as hard.
But that being said I'm glad I installed it, it fills out the system nicely and doesn't take up any space.

Also picked up one of these cargo things on CL the other day, not sure if I'm going to keep it or not my hatch is all ready pretty full.
Its a lot nicer than the current cargo divider thing they sell at the dealer.

Stopped by a garage sale that was not too far from my house because the sign said Subaru parts on it.
And when I rolled up I found these :D

From an 08 5door WRX they have the stock 225/50/17 Michelin's and TMPS still installed.

I have been on the look out for new tires so it turned out to be my lucky day.Changed the oil and got it all washed up as well.

Sold the 08 WRX rims, going for more of an off road look now.
Rattle canned my stock 15's and got some stock size Yoko Geolander A/T-S. Much beefier tread pattern and depth than any all season.

The color isnt a perfect match but its darn close, looks good from 5 feet for sure.

Next Ill be saving my $$ for a lift, the only thing that hinders it in the snow is bumper height.

Nice! You should look into a factory rubber trunk mat. Helps protect the carpet and stuff doesn't slide around much.

I have been on the look out for one, I sold the Subaru organizer a while back. It spent more time in the garage than in the car since I all ready have the tote and tool box back there.

I also installed heated seats last weekend, I used my stock seats and aftermarket elements from http://www.warmseats.com

Using the info I found here:
http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15908

I spliced the stock switches to the aftermarket harness for a factory look.

My butt is toasty now! and just in time the high is only in the 20's today.

EDIT: Anyone know if you can replace the indicator bulbs in the stock heated seat switches? Both mine are burnt out.

How long did it take you to put the seat heaters in the seats? Seems like all that hog-ring busines is pretty hard work!

You CAN replace the bulbs in the switches.. in fact all of the subaru switches using a radio shack part # 272-1092

http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2103780 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103780)

How to swap them.. Basically you pop the switch out, then unscrew the little bulb holdes. Pull out the original bulbs, and wire in the new ones. Doesnt matter which way the bulbs go. Works super good, and is a cheap fix.

Edit: found the tutorial:

The wiring is by far the hardest part, not sure about other years but my 99 only had 3 actual hog rings per seat. And you don't really need to reinstall them if you don't want to.
The lower cover is held on by a series of plastic clips, and the upper by a channel and rod arrangement. You don't have to completely remove the covers just work them over the foam and then you can slide your arms in there to set the element.
Edit: remove the sliders from the pass seat to get at the plastic clips, if the driver is height adj just raise it up to get at the clips.

Thanks for the bulb info!

You're going to love those tires. The grip level in the rain, slush and mud is nuts.

I like them well enough so far, I have probably 3K on them. They wander a little on groved pavement, like most AT's. Only difference in grip that I noticed is you cant brake as hard on slippery/snow packed surfaces as you can with a dedicated snow but not a deal beaker by any means
