[Reason]

Well after getting a couple of PM's and people voicing their opinion I want to take a poll to see if there is enough people that want one. This forum would not be limited to X Box, but for PS3, CPU games and even all the old school consoles. I will choose the nerdiest dorkiest mofo on the forums to be the mod :razz: j/k I have a special idea for that position.

I do agree with Roger though. Separating every system into its own subforum is a bit much. When I recommended this, I was thinking of just a separate place to post gaming threads since it's on it's way to taking over our OT.

I guess one interesting aspect is look at the Forza races that Ryu is setting up, that seems to be good automobile related fun, it even has subies in it! wow!

Not to mention in between the xbox live shenanigans i find myself talking with fellow sl-iers about subies while playing games.

I don't enter any forum specifically. I use the "view posts since last visit" link. If you're adding a forum that's completely off topic, and focused on a subject that most members probably don't give a crap about, you should have a way to completely ignore that forum, so we don't even have to see it.

Of course, I don't come here quite as often any more, if this clutters the list and I can't find interesting stuff without spending all night, it could just be the reason to come around less often.

Most of the ACTIVE members who voted want the forum, so thats the way it went. If more voted no then it would be done. I can't tell the 15+ who voted for it is assed out because it's too much work for you. I don't know any way around it, if you want to stop coming around because we added a gamer forum that is your decision, and yours only.

What's done is done. The only way the gamer forum will go away is if it isn't used much.

This forum isn't super active like NASIOC anyway. You don't have a few hundred threads to go though, it will take all of 15 seconds to ignore the ones in this forum.

Frankly, it's another way for SL-i to offer something to people who are not necessarily Subaru zealots, and it gives us an avenue to retain members after they've sold their vehicles.

No matter how much I like my car I can only talk about it, Subars and cars in general for so long. This gives some of us a chance to engage in another common interest some of us have. Shit if you hobby (if you have one) is popular and it can be down online or some sort of meets tell us. Maybe theres more here and you can get your own little patch of goodness.

I am not a "gamer" I just started playing video games again about a month ago. Before then I haven't played any for 10 years unless a new Madden came out for PS2. I got sucked back in because of the amount people on here play and my personal friends.

I'm sure there's ways to make entire forums visible/not visible to certain groups of members. You probably have a "moderators" forum that only they can see exists.

Last time I checked, even Subaru's publications had things in them that didn't specifically relate to Subaru's, but related to a "Subaru enthusiast" lifestyle.
