Been wondering this for a while..but is there any difference in flow between these 2 types of cone filters:

I bought one of the second ones shown here yesterday, and its the same as
i've been using on my intake.. but I'm wondering if i can get more
performance gains with the larger one.. or not? Anyone have any input on this?

I split your post off because it wasn't directly related to the ebay intake.

What you're looking at is flow-rate and that depends on surface area.
A cone filter might arguably have more surface area for filtration and flow than a flat-filter (which is still ribbed).

The differences between the two styles of cones IMHO will be minor, and hardly noticeable unless the filtration properties are much better/worse than what you already have.

Hmm.. yeah i was just wondering.. because I was thinking of it in simple terms.. more surface area on the large one would technically allow more CFM's of air in than a small one right? Maybe not.. i really doubt its a huge difference.. but i just started wondering these things yesterday when there was only a $1 price diff.
