We personally know that when you damage those beautiful gold BBS rims it is impossible to find a paint that is an exact match so you end up with the whole world knowing that you rubbed that extra high curb. Well now you can spray a bit of our "GrimmSpeed Gold" Wheel Paint on them and they will look like new!

And for all of you that don't have BBS wheels, well now you can paint your wheels the same color as the BBS wheels. Being Subaru owners ourselves, we are all addicted to the gold look but it is impossible to find a good gold color at your local paint/auto parts store(especially one that is even remotely close to BBS gold). $14.99 is kind of expensive for a 12 oz can of rattle can, isn't it? I know its BBS gold, but still. Plus shipping because I don't you can get it at a store.

Yeah.. i definitely wouldnt pay $15 + shipping for it.. the duplicolor stuff and others that have been discussed are damn close enough.. its just a color. Your going to be more than pissed when your $45+ dollar paint job rubs off.

You can't get BBS paint at a store either. Grimmspeed put a lot of time and effort into coming up with a paint mix that matches. I applaud them for providing an affordable solution.

If the rim is prepared properly any automotive paint will stick and a few coats of clear will prevent any weathering / corrosion.

This is the *cheapest* method to color match STi BBS rims.. Check out how much a color match from PPG or Dupont costs.. You'll be begging for the rattle can!

Duplicolor = terrible quality

$20-40 to repair $1400+ rims is worth it IMO.

Psh.. while i see its nice your trying to defend them.. the paint code for the BBS rim color can be found on nasioc or RS25 easily..and yes.. i suppose the only real reason you would want this is if your screwed up your stock rims.. its a nice color.. but i dont think id pay that much for a can of paint just to paint some rims.. the duplicolor wheel paint actually does work fine..

I never said duplicolor doesn't work.. I just said its terrible quality. The spray pattern and final dry look very pores.

Those are still not BBS paint codes. Sure, they might be close, but they probably are not as close as someone who has bothered to invest some time and R&D into mixing paint to discover a better mix.

Bottomline - the BBS paint code isn't out there where you can find it easily.

Whatever, we're really arguing for argument's sake.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. While the paint may be a little more expensive then most of the stuff on the shelf it is much more durable.

It's an acrylic enamel. Basically it's the most durable single component paint available (paint able to be sprayed out of a rattle can).

Clear coats and application: We suggest the gold color coats to happen within an hour of eachother. We recommend using clear coat 3-4 days AFTER the coats of the gold to prevent the occurence of lifting and/or wrinkling. Any clear should work but we suggest testing a sample area first. A clear coat isn't necessary however.
