Ok, so all the climate controll lights except for 1 are out. Also my cruise controll button. So I went to the subie dealer and got 2 small bulbs and 1 big bulb.....18 bucks and some change...WHAT? Isn't that expensive? I mean I worked at a toyota dealer until I was laid off. There parts weren't half that price

They're not really... go to any dealership and see how much comparative parts are. Honda dealership wanted $400 to do-over my wifes 03 Accord...Subaru dealer wanted $350 to do my 98 Legacy. Same items, calipers, rotors, pads etc.

$18 for lights is pretty expensive though, you could have equivalent ones from Radioshack for $6.

Relly? Radioshak? I wanted to change em cause I'm doin the pink gauges and swiches thing in the DIY section. By the way its sweeeeeeeeeeet. I only did the buttons by the gauges (fog swich etc...) But I can't wait till tomorrow I'm finishing the whole rest

Yea, I know someone who works there but he only works real late (clean up crew). And his mom works there but in accounting. There's like 1 guy in parts and he's not to social. And a suprisingly hot cashier. Oh well, I'm not worried to use aftermarket stuff. But I will not go to autozone for important parts, maby just wax or sumpin. Duralast parts are terrable. Especially there brake pads. If your gona go cheap I love the reybestos ceramic myself

Huffer : Also depends on the dealership.. there are 2 subaru ones around here.. and one of them wanted like $45 for one part.. and the other.. $10 for the same part.. so i guess it really depends where you go. In general though.. subaru parts are pretty pricey compared to other econo-boxes.

Huh, My Scooby dealer only charged Me $9 For all three climate control bulbs.

Also the bulbs are covered with green condoms. So if You go the radioshack route. You'll wanna pull the rubbers off'n Your old bulbs.

If you have a hard time replacing those bulb condoms (because they usually tear apart) the toyota dealer I worked at has alot

Funny thing happened when I replaced my bulbs. I saved most of the green condoms, but when I put in the new bulbs the buttons still lit up white/yellow/tan or something. Not green.

Took 'em off and left them white/beige/whatever.

At least I can see what it's doing now.....

Radio Shack #272-1092 are the little bulbs I used to replace the HVAC lights and all the button lights.
I think they were like .80 a two pack.
