Depends on which JDM bumper and which USDM bumper you're looking at.
Got a year/model in mind? ie. 1998 GT USDM

Got a 98 2.5GT Limited Auto and I'm looking for/at the JDM BD5 bumper with the stock projector fogs. Just wondering whats the diffrence between the bumpers. They look the same to me. I'm planning on doing all the small things first before I start to plan my WRX/STi motor swap next summer/fall.

DEPENDS ON YEAR
There are different fogs for different bumpers. Think about it!

USDM GT bumper, missing fogs:

JDM bumper, with fogs:

Differences - notice the JDM bumper lacks the "bump" on the outside of the bumper, and the license plate bracket is part of the bumper.

So what makes the JDM bumper so desireable? I mean besides it having less miles than it's American counter part? Does it sit diffrent in the front of something? Rides lower?

Well, for one thing, the jdm projector fog lights will slide right into the jdm bumper. If you want to put the jdm fog lights in a usdm bumper, you will have to cut the openings larger to fit them and modify the bumper beam in the process.

Mileage on a body part? Are you serious in asking that question? What the hell do miles have to do with a BUMPER?
It's desirable because it's different and it allows you to run JDM projector fogs without modifying your bumper.
It doesn't ride any lower, look at the pics.

It doesn't ride any lower, look at the pics.I meant by miles on the bumper in which it has less damage to it. That hurt my feelings Huff, crying gets the sad out :(. And thank you 97legacy now I know the diffrence and will NOW invest into getting a JDM bumper cause I love those fog lights. *still crying cause of Huffer*

Crying? What are you crying at? You got some soft skin. The other differences include the size of the dip between the headlights- where the bottom of the grill sits- and the lower radiator cutout is different.

lol my stock l bumper was in better condition than the JDM one ( i'm the guy who's got the car thats been posted..) the jdm noe has winked paint and scuff marks all over it
another difference is in the main bumper opening the JDM has 2 large holes separated by a pillar and the usdm one has a single large opening with 3 support rods running from the top to the bottom, and i've seen smaller openings on my bumper on bd5's here in my area
