BD5 hood swap?

I like how the 2.5GT BD5 hood looks, but I want a slightly bigger scoop without having to do modding. I was wondering will any hoods will fit WITHOUT modding? I did a search on this subject and found a topic but it didn't answer none of my questions. Thank you all who help. :wav:

If you're asking can you put an already scooped hood your BD, you can only use BD/BG/BK hoods without modification.

Impreza hoods are too narrow, and shorter.

If you wanted a bigger scoop, you'll have to get an L hood and cut a hole to suite the scoop.

Check out counterbond's thread in Members Ride to get an idea of fitting a scoop to an L hood.

The reason you can't easily put a bigger scoop on a GT hood is that the hood metal is molded into the scoop. Lot of discussion about this before.

Damn it I was afraid of that. Thank you man guess whenever I get my WRX swap done next year I'll have to fab a custom hood scoop. :(

the only alternative to cuting a rs/wrx scoop is a ARC insert for the legacy hoods that takes it from a 35mm to 38mm opening it flows as good a a wrx scoop support 370hp (with the right TMIC)but is more descreat and looks stock
