I have a 1995 subaru legacy wagon with the 2.2 flat 4 and automatic,my question is are there any turbo kits available for my 2.2?

nothing worth the trouble your running real close to 10:1 compression ratio, if your willing to drop the coin on installing a turbo kit you'd be better served by swapping to a factory turbo'd motor... imho

is the 2.5 a better candidate?i know of someone with a totalled legacy with the n/a 2.5

If you want a turbo ej22, get an ej22t from an earlier model and swap it in. Can be done and had for a LOT cheaper than a wrx swap or a built n/a ej25

the 1.8 are great for turboing. idk people say the 2,5 are weak but i disagree you can turbo them safely if you dont boost over 6-7psi. but i say just turbo the 2.2 if you want as long as you keep the boost max at 6-7 psi and the right engine management and good tune it should be good
