Who is getting COD: World At War??

So Rob, me, and a few of our 360 buddies have been wearing out the beta for the new COD. I'm getting ready to fill out my last minute preorder and thought I'd ask who else is getting this for 360??

And what other ubber-awesome games are coming out this quarter?

I dunno what the hell happened last night. The first time the party crashed out, then the second time it booted you out and put us straight into a game. We've been having those troubles with the beta...hopefully the full game is better about it.

Anyways, just finished my preorder with overnight shipping. Instant access to extra weaponry ftw. Can't wait to get it.

Gamestop started selling their pre-orders today. I played the Beta version online, but I'm gonna finish the single player campaign before I get into the multiplayer.

Our gamestop will have it tomorrow. I'll have my brother merch it out and i'll have it for a few days till he takes it back, I'm still playing gears but I am getting NFS next week though.

Ok, so it was backordered online and I didn't feel like waiting. I called around and all the gamestops around me had it in stock, in quantity. So I went down to the on our lunch break from class and got one there, ate lunch, and then returned to class, only to rock back and forth in my chair like a maniac ready to play.

I cancelled my online order, but I dunno if they'll still give me the gun thingy for preordering...I doubt it, but hey, who wants to wait that long for COD5???

Have you not played online yet? I think I did the first two levels then played a few games online. I'm not that good but really enjoy the game. But online play is more fun than the campaign, two different feels.

is veteran as hard as cod4's? it took me forever to get all those achievements...

Me and Josh and Rob/Chef just got done doesing some online coop. The Storyline is not as evolved as COD4 imo. The missions are fun I think (if josh would start being a team player). I had a problem with mine freezing after you take the airfield in sinhlr plsyer on the third misison, but it seems to have resolved itself. COudl've been a heat issue or something. Who knows? I'm loving it though. I like how the online coop adds to your gamerscore and your rank too.

I like it online. It's definitely a lot different than COD4. Seems much much slower paced for some reason.

There's supposed to be a zombie warfare or something somewhere in the game. Not sure. Haven't figured it out yet.

Lore had it that among all the other things that Hitler had scientists working on, he was trying to find a way to make an unstoppable, zombie-like clan of Nazi soldiers. All part of his plan to take over the world I guess. Check out the movie Outpost.

All you have to do is beat the campaign solo and you unlock it. It's a pretty badass game mode with some friends.

Yeah. You and a few friends (I think up to 4 people?) have to defend a tower from waves of Nazi Zombies. You start with a pistol and gain money by killing hte zombies which can be used to buy guns (which are unlocked as you progress from room to room...you'll understand once you unlock it) or reinforce your defenses.


Playing it alone, I got to level 4 then just plain got slaugthered. It's a blast. I'm pretty sure you can play it online too.
