I'm wondering what a few things mean. Like the "zone" underground or pro, what does that mean? MGC average? Theres a few more I can't think of. Can someone break it down a bit? thanks

the zone basically tells other users who view your profile how you play, if your chill and kick ass without being a sore loser, you'd be pro, underground is for the intense people who think theyre really good and talk a bunch of shit and are all crazy, family is for the ppl who share a console with kids and dont want them subjected to the craziness,

xbox live mainly matches you up with people in your zone...

Ok so what is the G with a circle followed by numbers?

thats your "gamerpoints" you get them by completing certian things in all 360 games, like in COD4, you get 10 er so gamerpoints(gp) for just beating the first level. theyre just a braging rights system, completely meaningless but fun to get

They're gained by completing "Achievements" - things like finishing first, racing online, defeating 10 enemies with a shotgun etc.

Some achievements are actually useful, because they unlock cars, levels, powerups and game bonuses. So they're not completely without worth.

Don't confuse Achievement points for Microsoft points, which are only obtained by purchasing via retail or online and can be redeemed for downloadable content like additional game maps, car packs, race tracks, gamer pics (avatars), music and videos.

Welcome to the Xbox online Shane!

Ok got it!

Roger I'm not on xbox live yet. I just set up a silver account. I may not be online for another week. I'm getting my xbox today. I have class tonight from 4-9 so IF I did upgrade to the gold account I would be on later tonight.

Technically Xbox silver membership is still being online - you can download trailers, game demos, music and videos. Xbox GOLD is for multiplayer gaming etc.

With Xbox silver you can still even gift and receive cars from other players in Forza 2.

I have another one. The "Rep" with the 5 stars, how do you get more or less? And is it what I'm thinking pretty much?

You get rep by playing online with people - they can rate you positively or negatively.

What's nice if you get a PITA creep who is constantly screaming profanity, you can actually give them a negative rating specifically for foul language or overly agressive play (like running you off the road).

Then, you can actually set your online play to AVOID certain people.
Which is great, because tools shouldn't be tolerated.

Ok thanks, and I just found the section that you just explained. I had the full stars but now one is almost gone, but nobody wrote anything on me. Oh well I'm sure I'll get some love lol

Stars don't mean crap, wouldn't worry about it.

I voted positive for you which brought you from three stars to 4.5 stars. Don't know what happened after that. As far as comments, there aren't any unless they message you. You just choose to approve the player or avoid them. Their "star" rating is based on that. Some of the negative ratings allow you to be more specific as Roger described.

thats true, i have 5 stars and 72% of people avoided me, i guess they dont like when i have 42 kills and 5 deaths every other COD4 match, lol
